Jim Bentley feels his side could yet have their say in this year's League 2 play off race.
The Shrimps have three remaining games against three sides all looking to book their spot in the end of the season play offs with Bentley insisting that there will be no let up in his side's quest to finish the season on a high note.
He said: "We should be safe now with 51 points but that does not mean our season is over.
"Far from it in fact. Kenny and I are looking for us to finish the season strongly. Over the last few years our average points total has been about 55 points and we want to at least match that.
"To do that we need three good performances against sides who will be giving their all. There is absolutely nothing between about 10 teams who all have a chance of making the play offs and that means we will have a say in how the final table looks.
"Two seasons ago we were in exactly the same position and we managed to hurt a few teams' ambitions and that's the same goal over the next few weeks.''
