THE Shrimps have added young striker Callum Lang to their squad.
The 18-year-old has joined on loan from Wigan Athletic.
Lang joined Latics at the age of 14 after being released by Liverpool and has progressed through the ranks of the academy.
After a successful season for the Under 18s in 2016-17, capped off by a superb hat-trick in the Central League Cup final in April, he won the Michael Millett Award as the Under 18s Player of The Season.
He was included in the matchday squad for the final game of the 2016-17 Sky Bet Championship season against Leeds United, and played for Wigan in the EFL Cup at Blackpool this week.
Boss Jim Bentley said; "Callum is a young striker who is highly rated by Wigan.
"We know he is a terrific worker with a great attitude and a real desire to improve and we are looking forward to working with him.''
