Barry Roche shortlisted for Player of the Month.
SHRIMPS’ stopper Barry Roche has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month Award for January.
The veteran keeper compiled a personal highlights reel of saves during January ensuring that Morecambe conceded just two goals.
Superb against both Notts County and Crewe, he excelled with a miraculous double save at Carlisle that helped the Shrimps gain an excellent point against the Cumbrian title chasers.
Roche is up against John Marquis of Doncaster, Ollie Watkins of Exeter and Ben Whiteman from Mansfield Town.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert, Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director, Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager, Paul Lowery.
Winners will be announced on Friday, February 10.
