16 first team players remain after loan players return to their parent clubs.

Jim Bentley says he will only have 16 first team players at his disposal for the game against Notts County on Saturday after all four loan players have returned to their parent clubs.

Jim said: "As it stands we will be working with just 16 players as all the lads that have been on loan have returned to their parent clubs.

"Everyone is working extremely hard to try and get some things sorted with the EFL and our transfer embargo but nothing will be done in time for Saturday.

"We are working on targets but it is frustrating because we can't do anything at the minute and things are out of our control.

"We need to bring a couple of players in during the window to kick us on and hopefully we can get something done as soon as possible.

"Looking ahead to Saturday we know Notts County are struggling but they have some good players and with a new manager in charge I'm sure there will be a reaction and we have to be wary of that.

"They will have new ideas I'm sure and we will have to be alert but we have done OK ourselves in recent weeks. We haven't perhaps got the rewards we have deserved and we haven't played well for the full 90 minutes in games and that is something we need to sort out.

"Things are challenging for everyone at the moment but we are up for that challenge and we all need to come together, come out fighting and give it our all.''
