Two Honours For Programme

25 January 2017

The Club's match day programme, The Shrimps, has received two national awards.

The programme was shortlisted for the overall League 2 programme of the year by experts from the Independent View, one of the country's leading specialist football programme magazines.

The club was voted third best in the league behind Grimsby Town and the eventual winners, Plymouth Argyle.

The club did however win the award for the best designed programme in League 2 and was voted the most improved publication in the league as well.

Programme editor, Derek Quinn, said: "It really is a huge achievement to receive these awards.

"We are up against some massive clubs with full time members of staff and big budgets while we have a superb group of volunteers who help produce what we hope is an excellent read every game and I can't thank these people enough for their support and to those fans who buy copies of it regularly.

"I take great pride in producing the programme and to receive these awards is fantastic news for the club."
