SHRIMPS’ boss Jim Bentley says tonight’s derby game against Accrington is the perfect time to get back to winning ways after four successive league defeats.
Speaking ahead of the game at the Globe Arena, Bentley said: “After a poor record over a lot of years we have done well against Accrington over the past couple of years and picked up a good win at their place earlier in the season.
“It is a game we always look forward to, it is always very competitive and I am sure tonight will be no different. Accrington are in a great run of form and have some good players and we know it will be tough
“We are desperate to get back to winning ways and there would be no better to do that than tonight and give our fans the bragging rights again.
“We are on a bit of a bad run but we haven’t played badly. We need to show a bit more quality where it matters and if we do that I am sure things will turn again for us.’’
