Coaches from Morecambe FC Academy have completed the Club’s first Soccer Camp on the Isle of Man and declared it a great success.
Staff from Morecambe travelled to Ramsey for three days, to coach young Manx footballers aged 6 to 16 years. The camp, which sold out well in advance, gave footballers of all abilities the opportunity to develop their skills.
James Dunn, Foundation Phase Lead with Morecambe Academy said “we’ve had an excellent time and really enjoyed working with the children during the Soccer Camp. We’d also like to thank our Manx hosts for their help and support during the week and for making us so welcome.”
“We will continue our work to develop links with the IOM and look forward to returning in the near future.”
The Academy coaches have also identified talented Manx players to watch in the future and are in discussions about the possibility of bringing a team over to the UK over the summer.
