CRANSTON HAPPY TO BE UTILITY MAN

10 December 2018

JORDAN Cranston says he is happy to be known as the Shrimps’ “utility man.’’

The summer signing from Cheltenham has played in a number of positions for the club in recent weeks after moving from his usual left back role featuring in central midfield and right back in the last few games alone.

He said: "As long as I’m getting games I will play where the manager puts me and do the best I can in whatever position I’m put in.

"We have had a run of injuries recently which has meant we have had to change things around a bit but I’m happy to fill in anywhere and do my bit for the team.

"At my previous club Cheltenham I was mainly used as a left back but earlier in the my career at Wolves and Notts County I played in several positions including centre midfield, centre back at the left side of a three and wing back so I’m pretty adaptable and I’m just waiting for my call to start up front!

"Left back is my main position and where I like to play but I will play wherever I am put.''
