GAME V CAMBRIDGE IS “MASSIVE”

19 December 2018

SHRIMPS striker Kevin Ellison says Saturday’s game against Cambridge United is a “massive’’ one for the club.

The 39-year-old, who took his tally to three for the season with a goal against Lincoln on Saturday, said: “Saturday is a massive game.

"We are at home and going into the busy Christmas period with some really tough games coming up and every point is important so we need to do all we can to get off to a good start.’'

Looking back to the Lincoln game he said: "On a personal note another goal was good for me but the result wasn’t good enough which is what matters at the end of the day.

"We have had some tough away fixtures recently especially the Lincoln game.

"They are top of the league and they will definitely be up there come the end of the season but the first half didn't help us and we had a mountain to climb.

“We certainly didn’t fear them because you shouldn’t fear anyone at this level. It's league 2 and anyone can beat anyone at this level and it’s how you apply yourself that matters and we have to make sure we do that over the next few weeks.''
