ZAK Mills says he is looking forward to playing without pain again after his recent operation.
The summer signing, who has been one of the Shrimps’ top performers this season, underwent a hernia operation recently, after battling through the pain barrier for much of the season.
The former Grimsby man said: “It has been painful for some time but we have done what we can to get through it with injections and medication but it was tough.
“I have had a similar injury before on other side and underwent an operation on that so I knew what it was all along.
“This operation has differed from the last one. It was a different surgeon and a different technique and it seems that everything went OK.
“I know what to do in terms of rehab which has already stared and hopefully I will be back playing as soon as possible.
“I’m obviously looking forward to that but I’m really looking forward to hopefully playing without pain too.’’
