BENTLEY EYES DOUBLE OVER WYCOMBE

23 February 2018

BOSS Jim Bentley says his side will be going all out to do the double over high flying Wycombe when they travel to Adams Park at the weekend.

The Shrimps beat Gareth Ainsworth’s side 2-0 at the Globe Arena in November and will be looking for a repeat performance on Saturday against the team that currently sits second in the League 2 table and in the middle of a great run of form.

Said Bentley: “It won’t be easy because Wycombe are flying at the moment. They are the in form team in League 2 and it is going to be a really tough game but we have done well there in the past and will be looking to do the same again.

“We won there a couple of years ago and we have a bit of a reputation for causing shocks for teams looking for promotion and we will be looking for the win but if we don’t get the three points then we will be looking to make sure we don’t lose.’'

Bentley said he was hoping to welcome back a number of players into the reckoning for the trip with Callum Lang, Aaron Wildig and Barry Roche all back in training this week and only Max Muller still absent.

He said: “Callum had a back spasm before the Forest Green game and Aaron turned his ankle before the game. They have been training this week along with Barry so we will look at them all before the game but Max is still definitely out as he is still in Germany after his family bereavement.

“Hopefully we will have a nearly fully fit squad to choose from which is always a boost at this time of year.''
