Jim Bentley is hoping he can add at least one new face to his squad before the transfer window closes on Wednesday evening.
The Shrimps’ manager has identified players he would like to bring in to provide some additional strength to his squad for the end of season run in.
Bentley said the departures of Elliot Osborne and Rhys Turner have given him some budget to play with and he is hopeful that one experienced player will join before the deadline closes on Wednesday night.
He said: “We want to bring someone in and we have released some funds through Elliot Osborne and Rhys Turner both leaving the club but it isn’t easy.
“We have spoken to a lot of people but we are limited in how much money we have so the players we bring in have to be go the right quality and make a difference.
“We have one particular target who we are hopefully closing in on and hopefully we will have some good news in the next couple of days.''
