THE Shrimps have signed former Airbus UK Broughton FC goalkeeper Dawid Szczepaniak on a one year deal.
Dawid, 18, joins the Shrimps after three seasons with the Welsh Cymru Alliance League side during which time the young stopper spent time on trial with Liverpool and Norwich City.
Szczepaniak said; “I’m really happy to be here, I’ve worked hard over the last 5 years and this a big step for me and I’d like to thank the boss for giving me this opportunity.
“I know I’m not the finished article but I feel I can learn and improve in my time here at Morecambe and can’t wait for the season to start.”
Boss Jim Bentley said; “Dawid will come into our development pool of players.
“He’s got some very good attributes for a goalkeeper of his age, he’s eager to work hard and improve and working with Lee Jones and the senior goalkeepers full time I’m sure he’ll progress over the coming months.”
