THE Shrimps have signed forward Liam Mandeville from Doncaster Rovers on a season long loan.
Mandeville, 21, started his career with Doncaster Rovers, where the right sided forward has made 64 appearances scoring 15 goals.
After a loan spell with Whitby Town the then 19-year-old played a part in Doncaster’s promotion winning side in 2016/17, winning the November EFL Player of the Month award after scoring 6 goals in 7 appearances.
Mandeville made 24 appearances for Doncaster in League 1 last season scoring 4 goals before being loaned out to Colchester United in January.
Boss Jim Bentley said; “He’s scored goals at the level and technically he’s a very good player.
“We’ve always been impressed with him when we’ve seen him play and we tried to get him in the January transfer window but unfortunately it didn’t develop.
“He can play in numerous positions in the forward areas and he’ll add something different to what we already have.”
