Morecambe have today added goalkeeper Mark Halstead to their squad for the coming season.
The former Blackpool keeper, 27, joins the Shrimps on a one year deal to replace Danijel Nizic who signed for Western Sydney Wanderers last week.
Halstead, who made one Premier League appearance as a substitute for Blackpool against Chelsea, has also played for Shrewsbury.
Talking about the deal boss Jim Bentley said: “Mark is experienced and knows the level.
"He’s a decent all round goalkeeper and gives us good competition. He’s hungry to prove he can be number one and we’re very much looking forward to working with him.''
Halstead said; “I’m delighted to be here back playing in the league.
“It was an opportunity to resurrect my career and one I couldn’t turn down.”
