JAMES SINCLAIR SIGNS

30 June 2018

THE Shrimps have signed former Bolton Wanderers player James Sinclair on a one year deal from July 1st subject to international clearance.

Sinclair, 30, has joined the club after several seasons playing in Sweden.

The well travelled Sinclair began his career with Bolton and made his first-team debut for them on 28 April 2007 in the 2–2 Premier League draw away to Chelsea, coming on as a 77th-minute substitute.

Since then he has had spells with Sektia Res Tziona in Israel, Seville FC in Puerto Rico and Polonia Bytom in Poland before joining Swedish clubs Ljungskille and Ostersunds where he was a team mate of Morecambe defender Steven Old.

Boss Jim Bentley said: “James has great experience and comes highly recommended by Steven Old. I first saw him play when I was studying Steven this time last season and during the past couple of months I’ve watched a lot of footage of James and think he would be a good addition to our squad.

“He is a very versatile player who can play in several positions and we are really looking forward to working with him.''
