The Board of Directors of Morecambe Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of two new Life Vice-Presidents, Graham and Louise Hodgson.
This local couple have given many years of service to the Shrimps and the club is delighted that they have accepted these honorary positions.
Morecambe FC Chairman, Peter McGuigan, said: “The honorary position of Life Vice President at the Club is one that is earned both through a significant contribution to the Club and many years of service to the Club.
“On both counts Graham and Louise deserve to be offered this position.
“Supporting your local Club in so many ways deserves recognition and I am delighted that Graham and Louise have accepted the position of Life Vice Presidents.’’
Graham Hodgson said he was delighted to accept the offer.
He said: “I have been involved in the football club ever since attending my first game in 1967 with a young Steve Middlesbrough.
“Since then I have been a fan, director and, for 15 years, Vice-Chairman supporting Ken Parker; Rod Taylor and finally Peter McGuigan. It was an honour to join the board of directors in 1990 and to serve the club for 22 years thereafter.
“Once I became a director Louise also got involved working at Christie Park and The Globe Arena hosting the boardroom for many years.
“The club runs in our blood and we are both delighted to be offered the position of Life Vice-Presidents.’’
