THE Shrimps’ Reserves beat Bradford City 3-0 in the Central League on Tuesday.
Goals from Tyler Brownsword, Kyle Hawley and Carlos Mendez-Gomes secured a 3-0 victory for the Shrimps at the Bantams' Apperley Bridge training ground.
Morecambe took the lead seven minutes in when Brownsword volleyed in from close range after City failed to clear a cross.
Morecambe could have doubled their lead soon after but Mendez-Gomes lobbed narrowly wide after being played through on goal.
In response, Gibson saw a low angled drive from inside the box turned around the far post by Morecambe 'keeper Niall Maher later in the half.
Morecambe managed to score their second of the afternoon shortly before the break when Hawley flicked home following Ben Hedley's inviting ball into the box from a wide free-kick.
Gibson could have pulled one back on the stroke of half time but he fired narrowly wide after moving into shooting space in the box with only Maher to beat.
Morecambe, led by former Bantams loanee Kevin Ellison, threatened to extend their advantage further after the restart but Sattelmaier repelled shots from Henry Dorward and Mendez-Gomes.
The Morecambe forward did eventually score for the visitors, however, 13 minutes from the end to clinch the win.
Leif Davis' ball in behind found Mendez-Gomes in space inside the box and the attacker turned away from Josef Hefele before firing into the far bottom corner.
Webb-Foster could have netted a consolation goal for the Bantams in added on time but his powerful shot from inside the area rattled against the side-netting by Maher's near post.
