REMEMBRANCE WEEKEND ACTIVITIES

9 November 2018

This Saturday when Morecambe face Halifax Town in the FA Cup first round a range of Football Remembers activities will take place leading up to 11 November to mark the efforts of servicemen and women, past and present.

Here at the Globe Arena, we will have members of our local British Legion branch selling poppies around the stadium ahead of kick-off. Please give generously if you can.

We also welcome Oliver Kernthaler, who will help us to mark a minute of silence with a bugle rendition of the Last Post.

A member of The Royal British Legion will take place in the pre-match line-up, and will then accompany the officials to the centre circle. Oliver Kernthaler will then play the Last Post - on the Referee's whistle – with a minutes silence to mark respect of the fallen.

Morecambe FC would like to thank all supporters in advance for their participation and support of the Poppy Appeal.

Season ticket holders are reminded that their tickets are not valid for cup ties. The Club Shop opens at 10am for the sale of tickets and all Shrimps fans’ are encouraged to purchase in advance to beat the queues.

Live music will be performed in JB’s Bar pre-match from 1.30pm before with popular local entertainer Mark McKenna.

Shrimps’ fans are also advised that due to an event in the Local Choice suite after the game, the Man of the Match presentation will be held in JB’s Bar.
