MCKENNA PRE CARLISLE

12 October 2018

THE Shrimps travel to Brunton Park to face Carlisle United in Saturday’s SkyBet League 2 fixture.

John Sheridan’s side are without a home league win since August and have failed to score at Brunton Park in their last three outings.

Shrimps’ assistant boss Ken McKenna said: “They’re a good side with a top manager, they have good players and although they’ve not been doing too great at home recently it’ll be another difficult game for us but it’s also good chance for us too.

“They have some big players missing but they have a good squad with good players to come in so whichever way they go they’ll be a threat.

“They’re well organised, well balanced and it’ll be a good test for us.”

Vadaine Oliver and Aaron Wildig were both forced off during Saturday’s defeat to Tranmere Rovers and neither player featured in the Shrimps’ Checkatrade Trophy defeat midweek joining the increasingly concerning injury list.

McKenna added: “It’s well documented that we’ve got injuries but we’ll be going up there with a good side and looking to win the game.”

Due to the international weekend, live HD video will be available for Shrimps fans in the UK with iFollow match passes available for £10.
