Morecambe FC celebrates the work of its youth department with the first annual ‘Academy Day’ on 20th October.
The academy is inviting its players and their families to watch the Sky Bet League 2 clash against Colchester United and experience match day at Globe Arena.
The Academy moved to Category 3 status in 2017; meaning it now has over 150 players in age groups from Under 7 to Under 18, regularly training and representing the Club.
‘Academy Day’ gives Morecambe Football Club the opportunity to recognise the contribution of players and their families.
The young Shrimps will be presented on the pitch at half-time, for supporters to show their appreciation. There will also be special content in the match day programme, including contributions from academy parents, coaches and players.
