ELLISON HOPES BUMPER CROWD WILL SPUR THE SHRIMPS TO VICTORY

17 April 2019

SHRIMPS’ legend Kevin Ellison says he hopes a bumper Bank Holiday crowd will spur the shrimps to victory on Monday.

Ellison has praised the club’s Break the Gate offer and hopes as many fans as possible take advantage of the reduced admission prices.

He said: "It’s great to know that the main stand will be full and hopefully we can fill the rest of the areas now.

“A big home crowd really gives the lads a lift and although we shouldn’t need it, it is a great boost when a big crowd is there and acts as the 12th man.

"Hopefully it will be a really good entertaining game and those that come will want to come again.

"There have been some big crowds and great atmospheres in my time at the club and when you are a footballer and there is a strong home backing for you it gives you an extra kick.’'

Looking forward to the game he added: "We owe Cheltenham one after they scored so late on against us earlier in the season to deny us the three points so it would be nice for us to get the three points and move a step closer to them.''
