Alex Kenyon believes the Shrimps "deserved more" against Carlisle United in Saturday's 1-1 draw at the Globe Arena.
The stand-in skipper took the man of the match award on the night and was impressed by his teammates' performance.
"On the day we had more of the ball," said Kenyon. "We created more opportunities in both the first and second half.
"I don't remember Mark having much to do and we started the second half brightly but they reacted quickly from a loose ball and Thomas played a great ball, which lead to their goal. We didn't get down about it though.
"We responded well and Wildig put a good ball across goal for Sully to head in and in the end we were unlucky not to win it.
"On the day I felt really comfortable in the game, we felt solid as a team, which was important after the disappointment of the Crewe result.
"It was a positive game that we can build on and take into next weekend's game at Plymouth."
