WE CAN DO BETTER

27 February 2019

ALEX Kenyon says the shrimps can do better than they showed in the 2-0 defeat at home to Lincoln City at the weekend.

The Shrimps' stand-in skipper said: "We were poor first half and struggled to get going but Lincoln did have the benefit of a week's rest whereas we had a very tough midweek game.

"We picked up a win at Oldham, backing up the win at Port Vale and it's disappointing to lose to Lincoln but I'd have taken the six points leading up to the three fixtures all day long."

The Shrimps travel to Yeovil this weekend two points above the hosts who ended their six game losing streak at the weekend with a 1-0 victory over Cambridge United.

Kenyon continued: "It's a very big game, if we can get a win it'll open up a bit of a gap and we can pull ourselves away a little bit.

"That being said, all the games are big from now until the end of the season. We've got a lot of the teams in and around us to play so we have to pick up some points and move away from the bottom end of the table."
