JIM Bentley says all Shrimps fans should come together this weekend to mark Kevin Ellison's 40th birthday.
The Shrimps' striker is 40 on Saturday and will be looking to mark the occasion in style against one of his former clubs.
Bentley said: "Kev was my first and arguably my best signing.
"When I got the job the first thing I did was go round his house and get him to sign.
"I had come up against him as a player and we had some right battles and had each other by the throat a couple of times as well but that was the attitude I wanted.
"When we went to his house he was that surprised that someone had made that effort that he agreed to sign there and then and I don't think either of us have looked back since.
"To be playing at this level at the age of 40 is a magnificent achievement and he deserves so much credit for the way he has looked after himself.
"His impact on the pitch has been amazing over the years and some of his goals have been out of this world.
"But he also has a brilliant influence off the pitch. He is brilliant in the dressing room, with the club staff and in the community and we are all very proud of him."
