SUTTON FRUSTRATED BY AVOIDABLE GOALS

25 February 2019

SHRIMPS centre half Ritchie Sutton says Saturday's home defeat to league leaders Lincoln City was frustrating but he and his teammates must take the positives and move on.

Looking back at the game he said: "It was a tough game, we know what they're like, they're good at what they do and I'm sure they'll be up there at the end of the season.

"Big John Akinde was a handful and then they take him off and replace him with Matt Rhead which wasn't much better, they're two unique players and very difficult to deal with, you have to try and find ways to counteract their strengths and in general I thought we handled them well but unfortunately we lost the game.

"We need to take the positives though, if anyone offered us six points from the last three games I'm sure most people would have been happy with that.

"That being said Saturday was disappointing, the manner of the goals conceded as both were avoidable from our point of view which is frustrating but we're not going to get too down about the result.

"We move on now and have a massive game on Saturday."
