Florent Cuvelier’s short term contract with the Shrimps has come to an end.
The Belgian midfielder, who joined in October, suffered two major injuries while with the Shrimps and has recently undergone a knee operation which means he would be unavailable for the majority of the season.
Bentley said: “Flo came on a short term deal and impressed us in training but suffered from a terrible tackle in a reserve team game against Macclesfield and then got another bad injury a few weeks later against Sunderland.
"We'd love to keep him on for longer because he looks a really good player but at this moment we need to address other areas.
“He had a great attitude and was really keen to do well but he became the latest central midfielder to get a nasty injury which was a massive shame for us and for him.’’
