DEFENDER Steven Old said the Shrimps need to make home advantage count when they face Stevenage at the Globe Arena on Saturday.

The New Zealand international was happy with the draw at Exeter last weekend but says his side need to get back to winning ways at the Globe Arena.

He said: “Stevenage will come here looking for a win.

“They are a decent side and have hd some good results lately but we need to focus on our own game. We need to pick up our home form again and crack on and get points on the board.

"I know its early days but we don’t want to get into a relegation battle so the more points we get at this stage of the season the better.’'

Looking back to the 0-0 draw at Exeter he added: "It was good to get a clean sheet especially against Exeter.

"They have been scoring goals lately but I think they missed Stockley up front. Having said that we did defend well and covered a lot of ground and no one can say we didn’t deserve a point.

“The three man defence worked well for us and although it is something I’m sure we won’t use every game it is something that works well at the right time.’'
