MORECAMBE FC Co-Chairman Graham Howse has made a plea to individuals & businesses in the area to support an appeal to bolster the club’s fitness facilities.
Graham says the club is looking to raise around £5,000 to buy some much needed equipment and has, along with former club doctor, Trevor Fleet, pledged £650 to kick start the fundraising campaign.
He said: “We all know that in football small margins are what we all strive for to give us an edge.
“We all know Morecambe have the smallest playing budget in the league. As the players come back for pre-season the medical department has identified some equipment they need including handheld devices for strength testing, jump testing equipment and three spin bikes.
“These important items cost around £5,500 and are over and above our usual budgeting so any help to purchase them would be very welcome.
