SHRIMPS’ boss Jim Bentley says he wishes Liam Mandeville well after the former on loan player joined Chesterfield this week.
Bentley has revealed that he offered the former Doncaster man, who spent last season at the Globe Arena, a two-year deal only to see him choose the Spireites.
He said: “I like Liam as a player and a person and was hoping he’d stay with us and continue to improve.
“We offered him a two-year deal but unfortunately for us he’s chosen to go to Chesterfield.
Myself, and I’m sure all at Morecambe FC wishes him well for the future.''
