On Saturday 30th March at the Morecambe vs Crawley Town game, we will be hosting Community Day.
Community Day will be taking place on Saturday 30th March during the Morecambe vs Crawley Town game at the Globe Arena.
The day is aimed at celebrating the work that Morecambe FC Community Sports do in and around the local community whilst also having the opportunity to give something back to those that we have worked alongside over the past few years.
We have been given the opportunity to fill the whole of the Heart FM stand, therefore we have really been able to open up the event; inviting local schools, grass root football teams, charity organisations, hospital staff and many more.
Our aim is to get the stand as full as possible, to fill out the stadium and generate a great atmosphere amongst home supporters. With Community Day being at a first team home game, it gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase the work that we do with not only those that have been invited, but many people in and around the local community on a daily basis.
Work has gone into ensuring Community Day will be a day to remember for all supporters at the match, with half-time entertainment organised and a couple of activities inside the ground before kick- off as well.
Penalty Shootout Competition:
What can be revealed is that there will be a penalty shootout competition on the pitch during half- time where people will be picked out from the stands at random to compete for a signed match ball from all the first team players. As Morecambe FC Community Sports will be the ball sponsors for the match, this competition has been made possible.
With just a few home games remaining this season we believe that it will be a good boost for the players to have a bigger crowd on to support the team during Community Day and hopefully get a good result out of the match.
