OATES, TUTTE AND LEITCH-SMITH VISIT TRUMACAR PRIMARY

22 March 2019

Rhys Oates, Andrew Tutte and A-Jay Leitch Smith visited Trumacar Primary to take part in the year 2's P.E session during the EFL Day of Action.

Morecambe FC First team players Rhys Oates, Andrew Tutte and A-Jay Leitch Smith visited Trumacar Primary during the year 2 classes P.E Session with Community Sports staff Kane and Zoe to take part in the EFL Day of Action.

The start of the session with the class revolved around basic movement skills such as side steps, backwards jockeys and sprints. The children were then put into a game environment where they could use the fundamental movements they’ve been working on over the past couple of weeks. The session then progressed with the game to allow the children to throw and catch whilst still using these key movements.

Community Sports coach Kane Harding added, “the children thought it was great to have first team players at the school, many look up to them as role models so it was great to see the three of them getting stuck into the session”.

The players' visit to Trumacar Primary was the second stop of the day for the EFL Day of Action, where the three of them got involved in the hour session with the year 2 class and got an insight into what they where currently learning about in the fundamental P.E session with Kane and Zoe.
