Morecambe Community Sports are pleased to announce that they will be launching walking football sessions twice a week for people in the area aged 35 and above.
Commencing on Tuesday 4th June, Morecambe FC Community Sports are pleased to announce that they will be launching walking football sessions on a Tuesday and Friday every week for people within the local area that are aged 35 and above.
Over recent years we have seen a growth in popularity for walking football and it's something that many people in the area would like to see become available to them. So, commencing after the may half-term, community sports will be running the sessions down at Heysham, Mossgate Sports Centre in one hour slots on both days.
The running times will be as follows:
Tuesday 10:30-11:30am
Friday 13:30-14:30pm
Community Sports coach Martin Powell will be spearheading the walking football sessions with an aim to get people from all over the area to get active and get involved. Walking football is a great activity for people to have some fun, keep active and socialise making plenty of new friends along the way.
The walking football sessions will be priced at a reasonable fee of just £2.50 per person/ per session as we aim to make it an affordable hobbie for people to take up.
As stated it will be open only to people aged 35 and above and people of all footballing ability are welcome to come down and get involved.
