ADAMS LOOKS AHEAD TO CREWE FIXTURE

22 November 2019

Shrimps' boss Derek Adams has said he is "happy with his players" as he looks ahead to this weekend's fixture at Gresty Road.

Morecambe travel to 4th placed Crewe Alexandra on Saturday with Adams looking to continue his unbeaten start as Shrimps' manager.

Dave Artel's side will be hoping to bounce back from consecutive league defeats to Northampton Town and Port Vale.

Derek Adams was pleased with his side's point earned at The People's Pension Stadium last weekend courtesy of Cole Stockton's 80th minute strike.

"We've had a couple of really good results, beating Carlisle at home and earning a good point away at Crawley," said Adams.

"We had to come back into both games after finding ourselves trailing, we showed good fighting spirit.

"Crewe are a team that have done very well this season, they're at the top end of the table and they will be difficult opponents.

"I'm happy with the players, it's never easy for them when a new manager comes in because certain things change in and around the football club.

"They've been very receptive to the changes and they're working hard."
