O'SULLIVAN STRIKE NOMINATED FOR GOAL OF THE MONTH

11 November 2019

John O'Sullivan has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League 2 Goal of the Month Award for October.

The winger has been nominated for the award after his goal against Port Vale on 5th October.

The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll. Voting is open now on the Sky Sports website and closes at 5pm on Tuesday 12th November.

All winners will be announced at 6am on Friday 15th November.

O'Sullivan faces competition from Cambridge United’s Jack Roles and Scunthorpe United’s James Perch.

An EFL press release said: “It was the element of surprise and an almost total lack of back-lift which left Vale keeper Scott Brown clutching at thin air as O'Sullivan's rapier-like shot dipped under the bar.”

The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on skysports.com.

The shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet Sponsorship Executive Matt Goodwin and EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden.

To suggest a goal to be considered for future Sky Bet Goal of the Month awards, fans can tweet details of their nominated goal to @SkyBet using #SkyBetGotM.
