COMMUNITY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT

30 October 2019

Morecambe FC Community Sports will be hosting this seasons Community Day event at the home game versus Leyton Orient at the Globe Arena this Saturday.

Following on from the success of last seasons' Community Day event that was held at the Globe back in March, Morecambe FC Community Sports are pleased to announce that this Saturday's home game against Leyton Orient will see a return of the special day that is aimed at giving something back to those within the community.

Last season's Community Day produced a turnout of approximately 870 people which was great to see and got more people through the gate to watch and support the team for the game.

This time round, we have invited more primary schools and grass-root football teams not only from within the local community but also from smaller and more isolated communites that we have worked alongside throughout the past year.

Overall, we are aiming to have the Dennison Trailers Terrace as full as possible with a total of 15 Primary Schools attending the game, 3 grass root football teams and also a group from Morecambe Ladies football team.

Community Day is about celebrating the work that Morecambe FC Community Sports do in and around the local community, whilst also having the opportunity to give something back to those that we have worked alongside and our in partnership with throughout the past year.

To make the day as special as possible, there will be a whole host of fun activities and entertainment planned for both before kick-off and also during half-time.

Order of the Day

13:00- 14:30pm The "Shoot for Goal" family-friendly attraction will be open before kick-off as usual for both home and away supporters under the age of sixteen to take part for free; with plenty of prizes and the chance to take part in the half-time penalty shootout competition up for grabs.

There will also be chance to complete the signing up sheet if you would like to get involved in this years NCS project.

On behalf of everyone at Morecambe Football Club we hope that everyone will enjoy the game and Community Day this weekend; we recommend that you arrive at the Globe Arena at least half an hour before kick-off to get involved in the full match-day experience and participate in the fun activities.
