MORECAMBE manager Derek Adams said there were plenty of good signs in the Shrimps’ 1-0 pre season victory over Workington.
A second-half goal from Cole Stockton gave the Shrimps the win against a very good Workington side.
Adams used 20 players in the game with just Sam Lavelle and A-Jay Leitch-Smith not involved.
He said: “It was good to be able to get 20 players some more game time and it was a really good run out for the boys.
“Workington were tough opponents and I’m sure they will do well in their league this year. They passed the ball around well got into good areas and that was good for us as we had to work really hard for the 90 minutes.
“Some of our football was fantastic. We passed it well and kept the ball well and created good chances. We could have scored more but their goalkeeper made some great saves.
“It was good to see Cole Stockton get on the scoresheet and that will do him the world of good and there were some really good performances all over the park.’’
