THE Shrimps have signed promising young goalkeeper Jake Turner on a season-long loan from Newcastle United.
The 21-year-old shot-stopper joined United from Bolton Wanderers in July 2019 after loan spells with Stalybridge Celtic and Darlington.
Jake has been capped at under-18 and under-19 level with England and was named on the bench for Bolton's final Championship game of the 2018-19 season at Nottingham Forest.
"It's good to be here and I'm happy to get it all done," said Turner.
"I can't wait to get going and for the season to begin now."
Boss Derek Adams added: “Jake is a highly rated young goalkeeper who will challenge for the number one jersey.
