SHRIMPS’ boss Derek Adams said his side produced on their best performances of the season as they claimed a tough three points against Harrogate Town.
After seeing Aaron Wildig score the only goal of the game to take the three points he said: “It’s was probably one of our best performances at home this season.
“We played ever so well, the amount of chances we created was high and we probably could have won by a greater margin.
“Cole Stockton, Carlos Mendes-Gomes and Aaron Wildig could have scored two or three each with the amount of chances we had.
“But 1-0 is a scoreline we will take. It’s three points but we could have added to it and it would have helped our goal difference a lot.
“The goal we scored was a well worked on. Adam Phillips put in another great ball into the box and Aaron did what he does well in getting in the hole between defence and midfield and got in a very good header.
“We did miss a few chances and should have won by the game by more. In any game, when you don’t get that second or third goal, there’s always an opportunity for the opposition but we kept them out and I was delighted we kept another clean sheet.’'
