CRANSTON, OLD AND WILDIG VISIT HALF-TERM SOCCER SCHOOL

21 February 2020

Morecambe FC First Teamers Jordan Cranston, Steven Old and Aaron Wildig visited Community Sports' half-term soccer school the other day.

On Thursday 20th February, on the last day of the half-term soccer school, there was a special visit from three of the Morecambe FC First team players at the presentation.

Jordan Cranston, Steven Old and Aaron Wildig were all in attendance for Community Sports' soccer school presentation. Each of the players took part in a Question and Answer session with the attendees from Soccer School, finding out about each of the footballers with some interesting facts.

In addition to this, each of the players personally handed out each child's' medal to them with a match ticket to a Morecambe FC First team home game. For those that managed to impress the coaching staff most in each group, there were the Sportsperson of the week and Player of the week trophies also handed out.

It was great to see plenty of happy faces around the room. Likewise seeing the Morecambe FC Players out in the community to meet young football enthusiasts like they once were. They all took the time to chat to the children and have photographs with them as well.

The First team players acted as great role models towards the boys and girls. For the young children attending the soccer school, it will provide them with a lasting memory and shows the work that the first teamers do out in the community throughout the football season.

Morecambe FC Community Sports will be back with a half-term soccer school in April for two weeks, dates tbc very soon!
