STOCKTON LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING BACK AT HOME

6 February 2020

Cole Stockton is looking forward to being back on home soil as the Shrimps host Mansfield Town at the Globe Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Shrimps have lost just one of their last eight games at the Globe Arena in all competitions, winning four and drawing three.

"We're in good form at home," said Stockton. "That being said we should have done better against Colchester and Cambridge, who we drew against but we've only lost the one at home since Christmas, which was Oldham on Boxing Day.

"I'm looking forward to it. We've played them twice this season, drawing 2-2 at their place twice, obviously we went 2-0 up but unfortunately ended up with just the point.

"We made amends later that week, beating them on penalties in the cup after another 2-2 draw where we played a lot of the game with 10 men.

"They've changed a lot since then though, as have we. They're an example of how unpredictable this league can be, they were one of the more fancied sides at the start of the season but it's not really worked out that way for them.

"We feel as though we can get a result against anybody at the moment. Even the games where we get nothing, you look at the Cheltenham defeat where we showed great passion putting them under all kinds of pressure towards the end.

"We were unfortunate on the day, but we go again on Saturday."
