New loan signing Christoffer Mafoumbi has joined the Shrimps squad as they travel south for tomorrow's SkyBet League Two fixture versus Northampton Town and says he "couldn't be happier."
The Congo international goalkeeper signed on loan from Blackpool for the remainder of the season this week as Derek Adams looks to further strengthen his squad.
Mafoumbi said: "I'm really happy to be here, I had my first session with the lads yesterday and they've given me a good welcome.
"I played with John O'Sullivan last year so it's nice to have a familiar face around when going into a new group.
"I found out about the possibility of the move about a week ago, the gaffer gave me a call and wanted me here.
"It's good to feel the trust he has in me and hopefully I can play some games, help the team and pay back his trust."
