Sam Lavelle has been named the Shrimps' PFA Player in the Community for the 2019/20 season.
"I’m delighted to receive the award," said Lavelle.
"Morecambe have always been a club known for its work in the community and I've seen that first hand over the last few years.
"I think as a footballer doing things with the community should be part of the job and I’m more than happy to help out where I can."
Morecambe FC Community Sports Manager, Janet Preston added: "I am very pleased to able to give the Player in the Community award to Sam, in what has turned out to be a very difficult time for everyone.
"Over the past year, all our 1st team players have been out in the community visiting schools or taking school sessions, over the past 12 weeks it's been more difficult but we've done things digitally where we can.
"I want to thank all the players for their community visits this year and in particular Kevin Ellison and Barry Roche for all their support over the years they have been with us as players."
