To All Morecambe Football Club Supporters:
Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who contributed to the "Supporting The Shrimps" Crowdfunder appeal. The response was phenomenal.
Your reaction to the funding options relating to last year's curtailed season tickets was also tremendous and we really appreciate everyone's support for our club at this time.
Christian Mbulu's Go Fund Me page has also been well supported by Shrimps fans and this is a very worthwhile cause to help support Christian's baby daughter in the future so thank you all again.
In relation to the forthcoming season, we are awaiting guidance from the football authorities as to when the season will commence, when spectators will be allowed back into stadia, and what % of ground capacities will be able to be admitted but we have to plan and look forward. Season tickets will remain great value for fans and if there are restrictions on the numbers we can allow into matches they will give supporters priority in terms of entrance to games.
We announced that season tickets for the 2020/21 season would go on sale next Tuesday, 14th July and that remains the case. However, due to the ever-changing landscape of the Covid-19 requirements and the guidance that we now have, it has become necessary to modify the areas in the Main Stand that may be open to our fans when they are able to attend matches.
In practical terms, this means that initially in the Main Stand, C Prem seating will not be available to supporters as this area will have to be utilised for substitutes, medical staff, kit-man, etc.
We would have blocks C, D & E (SM Cars) available and perhaps Blocks A & B (Beyond Radio) for home supporters if visiting fans are not allowed in the stadium.
The pricing structure would remain at C, D & E prices but no C Prem premium initially. As lockdown eases and we can open up C Prem for supporters you will be able to return to your usual seat and a pro-rata charge for this upgrade applied depending on the number of fixtures already played/left to play. When season tickets are issued, they would be for the block you choose to sit in, not for a specific seat. Again when normal service resumes you will be able to request your usual block/seat.
Season tickets for the standing areas in the Home Terrace and MJ Catterall terrace remain as previously advertised.
At this present time, we cannot guarantee which catering, hospitality, or bar areas will be open when the season commences, so access to the Think Interiors JB's Bar, the Local Choice Suite or the concourses may be restricted.
Please bear with us as we navigate our way through a myriad of guidance and legislation. We are doing this with everyone's safety at the forefront of our endeavours and we hope to have normal service resumed as soon as we possibly can.
