Boss meets with young Shrimps at Globe Arena
Derek Adams welcomed youngsters from the club’s academy to Globe Arena on Saturday, as Morecambe took on Crewe Alexandra in Sky Bet League 2.
The young Shrimps chosen as academy Player of the Month winners for January were rewarded for their hard work with a VIP match day experience at Globe Arena. The boys and their families enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, before meeting up with boss Derek Adams prior to kick-off, for a photoshoot. The guests then enjoyed a very entertaining game against Crewe Alexandra.
Head of Youth Stewart Drummond said, “It is important to recognise players who are progressing well in the academy and the match day visits give the boys a chance to see the first team in action and experience the match day environment which they aspire to be part of.”
