SHRIMPS’ boss Derek Adams has spoken of his frustrations after a week that has seen injuries and Covid issues affect his plans for the weekend clash with Forest Green Rovers.
Adams has revealed that six starters from last Saturday’s game against Crawley will be missing this weekend after a torrid few days for the club.
Alex Kenyon and Liam Gibson will be out with hamstring injuries while Ryan Cooney and Carlos Mendes-Gomes will both also be unavailable through ankle injuries.
To add to that Cole Stockton and Harry Davis, along with physiotherapist Simon Farnworth, will be missing this weekend after being told to isolate after being in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid.
Adams said: ”It is a frustrating situation because we will be without six players who started only last Saturday at Crawley and also missing our physio.
“We are following all the EFL guidelines in terms of those isolating.''
