GRAHAM HOWSE | iFollow Update

25 September 2020

Wednesday night was a strange experience for many reasons at the club but I wanted to clarify on the uptake from the live streaming available to both sets of fans on the evening as there seemed to be some eye watering estimates at to the figures.

5931 match passes were sold on Wednesday which in its own right represents much needed extra revenue for the club for its progression to the third round of the Carabao Cup. This makes up to a degree with the inability to stage the game at the Mazuma and all that goes with it. Revenue from this source after VAT is split 50/50 for cup games with the home side paying for the costs of staging the game and the away side covering the cost of their travel.

We, as with the rest of the EFL were disappointed that the ability to progress back to crowds in the ground was suspended this week, whilst appreciating the protection of peoples health is paramount. We continue to be grateful for the continued support of our fans and sponsors and would remind you that we receive valuable income for the live streaming of games at the Mazuma. We only receive a contribution for away games if our uptake exceeds 500.

Once again thank you for your continued unwavering support
