Luke Conlan has been transferred AFC Fylde for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old full-back joined the Shrimps in 2016 after a successful loan spell from Burnley, making 142 appearances during his four years with the club.
"I've really enjoyed my time at Morecambe," said the Northern Irishman.
"I've made some great memories and made some really good friends here, there are a lot of people who I'm sure I'll continue to have a relationship with as my life goes on.
"I would like to thank everyone at Morecambe, I can't thank them enough for how they've treated me over the past four and a half years.
"Obviously it was a difficult decision for me to leave but at the end of the day I want to be playing games at this stage of my career and I'm not sure that would have been the case if I'd have stayed.
"Thanks to all the Morecambe fans who have supported me, as well as all my teammates throughout my time here.
"I wish everyone all the best for the rest of the season, I'll be keeping an eye on the results and hopefully Morecambe can kick up the league."
