The Shrimps host Scunthorpe United on Tuesday evening as Derek Adams' side look to record their 19th victory of the season.
Neil Cox's side currently sit 18th in the league table after a well earned point against Tranmere Rovers at the weekend.
"Scunthorpe had a really positive result at home to Tranmere on Saturday," said Adams.
"Last time we played them it was a difficult game, on the day we felt that we should have won because we played well.
"Scunthorpe are in a situation where they're safe from relegation and are fighting to push into the middle of the table.
"We have to look at ourselves. We're in a position where we're fifth in the league with six games to go.
"We just have to keep on giving our all to hunt for that automatic promotion spot or the play-off position.
"At Port Vale we created a lot of opportunities to create that shot on goal. It was similar last time against Scunthorpe.
"Our players have this fantastic attitude where they just keep on going. They just want to be successful for the football club and finish the season on a high."
