Shrimps boss, Derek Adams has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month Award for March.
An EFL press release revealed the list of nominees:
Derek Adams (Morecambe)
Pre-season favourites to go down and then certainties to tail off, Adams’s players are defying expectations and embracing their involvement in a promotion race, scoring 11 goals in six March games which brought 13 points.
Ian Evatt (Bolton Wanderers)
Remarkably, his side matched its February record in March – five wins, one draw and a 9-3 goal differential from six unbeaten games. That consistent form included crucial wins over promotion rivals Cambridge and Forest Green.
Rob Kelly (Barrow)
A reluctant manager, yet his knowledge of the club and his players is proving invaluable as Barrow fight to preserve their hard-won EFL status. Four wins in a row, three without conceding, included a stunning 2-0 triumph at Cheltenham.
Alex Revell (Stevenage)
In his first management role, Revell has built his Stevenage team from the back, making them hard to beat, then adding an attacking threat. They earned 14 points from six unbeaten games in March to move into mid-table.
The winner will be announced on Friday 9th April.
The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
